Hunter 34 owners,

Purchased new shower faucet and during install found different size fittings. Larger width fitting prevents me from completely tightening nylon nut. I tried local marine consignment store but had 0 luck. Anyone know where I might get the smaller one? I'm in RI if anyone knows of a local source.

Thank you,

Try a plumbing supply house. They're usually much more knowledgeable. There's also a possibility that you have a metric size piece on your boat

Difficult to tell from the photos how your boat is built. Can you find a label on the line? I presume it's poly-b. Is that the same diameter as the supply line or is there a reducer somewhere?

Most plumbing faucets in North America will have 1/2" IPS / NPS connections.

If poly-b, it could be 12mm or 15mm. You'll need an adapter to go from metric to imperial plumbing fixture.

My H34 has poly butylene lines and fittings. The fittings are imperial and I had no issues finding stuff at Home Depot. It may be that the new fixture is metric? I bought my new sink and head fixtures at Depot .

I remember Ace Hardware used to stock the butyl parts as well. They were hanging on the rack at our local store. Is your issue that the tube doesn't insert far enough inside a fitting on the new faucet to seat that nubbin properly? That is where the seal will be. I'm a little confused as to those poly lines. They look like what I had with a captive nut farther up out of the picture. The two are a little bit different? Maybe trim the end slightly with a utility knife.
