I have the same problem with my 28 Hunter. I was told today how to fix it. I took the Gasket out. (Mine came out easily on the inside) I cleaned it and used vaseline on the fit area. I re-installed it and am now waiting for the rain. Hope this helps ( mine had a lot of grit and dirt ) If that doesn't work, i am going to take the Whole thing out , clean it and re-caulk it.
