I will very much appreciate whether some one can shed some light on the water accumulation in the hanging closet. I am trying to find out the source.
I recently acquired this boat, I have taken her out motoring every time upon my return to the marina, I discover water accumulation in the floor of the hanging closet.
I checked the stuffing box, the drip is normal.
Could it be from the rudder???
Could it be through the exhaust??

Anyone with simillar issue.

thxs

Congrats on the purchase for your new boat! The first thing you should do is join the Capri 26 association at http://www.members.tripod.com/capri26/. This is a user group where all topics pertaining to the Capri 26 is discussed.

If you have water in your head closet only when you are running the diesel, you should check the engine cooling hoses inside the closet. You may have a leak or a loose hose clamp?

Have you run the engine with out the cover on to inspect all the hoses, clamps, etc.?

Has it happened under sail too, or just motoring, or both???
