I removed the rubber transom pad where the engine mounts in my Mac 26S (1994) and after a while found threads of dirty water oozing out of the holes left by the removed screws that were holding the rubber engine pad. There is a wooden block fiberglassed inside the transom that strengthens the place where the engine mounts. I'm afraid that water somehow got in. Below the transom trim and right above the drain hole in the engine well, I can see to 1/2 cm holes. Poking with a screwdriver I can scratch the wood inside. If those holes had a sealant earlier, it has dissappeared, and seemingly water accumulating in the engine well has gone into the transom through those holes and gotten the inner wood block wet. Anybody had to deal with this problem? Any way of getting that water out, without having to break the transom trim? I will greatly appreciate suggestions. Thanx, Albert
