The Lousianna Purchase

My wife and I are planing an extended vacation to the Bahamas and question if I need to purchase a watermaker. My cruising guide claims that tanking up on water at the fuel dock IS NOT free. Do anyone have any recent experience. Thanks

Water at some marinas is metered and

others have a flat fee of $15. It is available and is good, in the more populated islands, but is not free. You can enjoy showers, fill up your tank. At some marinas you can refuse the service so you don't pay for water that you do not need.
