Water in tanks - stinky!

Hi,We have a fresh water holding capacity of about 60 gallons. I drained the tanks a couple of weeks ago, and the water in the tanks is already stinking like rotten eggs. I am VERY allergic to clorox, so putting a little bleach in the tanks is not an option. Other suggestions please? Thanks.G. Webster

Recommission the system

I've posted directions for doing that 3 times in the last two weeks, so a search of current activity should give 'em to you.Btw...they're also included in my new book, along with the reasons why adding a little bleach to each fill is a bad idea whether you're allergic to it or not.

Run the water

Part of Peggie's excellent advice is to run the water. It keeps things moving, stirred up, activitated,etc. I routinely run the sink to use the water to drink and to put a glassful in the head as a freshwater prime. The more you use your water, the fresher it will be.
