Water in my boat

After a two day sail offshore there was about 6 inches of salt water in the starboard stern lazarette of my 37.5. Any ideas?

Bad fitting lazarette hatch or the drainage slot restricted? My hatch is above the boat water line.

Is there a stern hatch seal that is not working?
Were you taking stern waves or heeled that side?

I don't think the laz has a seal does it? Wave action getting under the lid perhaps

Heeled to port and nothing over the stern. Wondering if the fiberglass flange that connects the engine discharge may be cracked.

Discovered problem. Exhaust hose had a leak in it. Hose was original. 23 years. Am know replacing other hosed
