I over filled my potable water tank so much that water came out of the vent / fill line filling the anchor locker. As a result of the over filling I could not get enough head pressure to supply water, the tank had a vacuum I believe this was caused by the vent line being liquid locked, Due to a low point in the vent line. I cut a hole in the forward berth to open access to the fill/vent lines and to my dismay it was filled with 1 gallon of dirty water. I was surprised to find that the forward cavity does not drain to the bilge I believe the water must have leaked in when I did over fill the fill line in the anchor locker. Problem one is solved with a small hole at the bottom of bulkhead that will allow water to continue to the bilge. Here is problem two shouldn't the fill line travel straight to the tank with no low points and the same with the vent, There is currently about 5 extra feet of hose. If I were to cut it how do I apply a proper fitting to the end of the hose. Thank you for any advise
