Running aground
If you ran aground, I would have the boat hauled out and inspect the joint where the keel meets the hull. Did you run hard aground on rocks or was it in mud/silt? How fast were you going? Running hard aground with a fair amount of boat speed places a tremendous amount of strain on your keel bolts, especially the FWD most one.Although I haven't run aground (yet), I had a similar experience with the bilge filling. The boat sat all winter in a wet slip. The bilge was bone dry and no leaking from the packing nut. After motoring to its new home with the engine off, it was dripping once every 3 seconds which is too much. The boat then sat on my mooring for about 3 wks (early May) and the dripping slowed to almost nothing. After tightening the packing nut about 1/4 turn, it made a big difference. With the engine OFF and traditional packing nut w/flax, it should't drip more than a drop or two a minute max.
