Hey Everyone, I'm thinking of installing a hot water heater & some facuets to use as a shower in the forward head. I've got a few questions... 1. Where did you install the water heater? 2. How did you protect the wood in the head against shower water? 3. How did you protect the bilge against hair that might clog the bilge pump? 4. What model do you recommend? I don't know what size I'll need for 2 people to take consecutive showers. We both like HOT water, so I'm curious to hear what you guys recommend. Thanks in advance, Allen Schweitzer s/v Drambuie C-30 Hull# 632

shower up

I have a1988C30 and Its water heater is under rear bunk behind companion way ladder. Its a squar unit about 14"w 14" h 16" deepIt holds 6 gallons of water. It heats on 110 shore power and off the moters heat exchanger .Ive never used the 110 power to heat water .It blows the breakers some times. When the boat is under power it makes alot of hot water .My wife and two sons shower when we get close to our moreing and I jump in after we tie up for the night. My sink has hot and cold water valves and the shower head pulls up from the sink and hangs on the front wall of the head there are two shower curtains that rap around the hole head .I have a attwood shower sump that I run the shower and two sinks into.I am on a fresh water lake and cant discharge gray water into the lake. When the boat was on long Iland the shower sump run back to a point in the manual bilge pump line and was pumped out the existing throwhull above the water line.my gray water is pumped into the starbord fresh water tank and used to rinse my black water tank at pump out time.
