Where is the water heater located on the 1982 Hunter 33? Thought of using an electric 3 or 6 gal. Any thoughts welcomed.

I'm guessing my H2O heater is standard but I'm not sure. It's located on the starboard side just aft of the starboard locker. Basicially, it's just in front of the engine panel. Mine is not connected to the heat exchanger so I can't get hot water from running the engine. Not too big of a problem since we sail the south-west coast of Fla and the keys, lack of heat is not a problem here... However, If I were to install a heater I'd try to plumb it into the exchanger instead of just having it run on 120V.

I've got a 1980 H33 with the heater plumbed to the engine - however, the standard 2QM 15 raw water cooled engine doesn't get very hot, so while the engine running will heat the water somewhat, it doesn't get very hot, no where near as hot as when we are plugged into dockside - not much you can do about this, as the engine is designed to run much cooler than a freshwater cooled 2GMF version. THere is a good thread on this topic in the forum a month or so ago.
