Hey Everyone, It's time to get a hot water heater & I don't know what size to get. I know my first mate likes to take long hot showers, so what would you recommend? What's the recovery time for your hot water heater? Does it work better off the shore power or off of the engine heat? Thanks! Allen Schweitzer s/v Drambuie C-30 Hull# 632

6 gallon works for me

It depends on how much room you have (not much) and how much water you take with you. Remember that your engine runs at about 165 degrees. That's hot. I just barely crack the hot side and the cold wide open to get a hot shower. My SuperStore will stay warm enough for a shower for 12 hours easy. More in the summer. Recovery time with the engine is about 10 minutes after the engine is up to operating temp.
