I have a Yanmar 3JH2E and my boat had no water heater when I bought it. I have installed the water heater which works fine and makes plenty of hot water when plugged in at the marina. I haven't quite figured out how to hook up the heat exchanger to the engine water pump yet. I have the owners manual and a service manual for the engine and all the water pump pictures appear to be somewhat different. The the Yanmar help web site that I usually get a lot of info from just confuses me more. I any of you Yanmar owners have time to look at the 6 pictures I have posted at the link below, then tell me what you think, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks, Morrie http://home.earthlink.net/~mk10/page1.html

Hook up

My H376 has the 3jh yanmar and the water heater is connected via 2 5/8" hoses running off the engine. One is just below the thermostat, the other comes from directly below the first one off the water pump. Good luck. Bob

okay now Paul

tried it again from the boat and this computer reads it fine - probably op error. Regardless, if this helps, I'm looking at my 4JH engine as I type and my heater is connected at the #1 and 3 ports as indicated on your engine picture
