The past two times we filled up our water tank on our Hunter 320, we came back a week later and find it all gone. I checked everything, except the hot water tank. Sure enough, a big pool of water. It only happened when we ran the engine and pressurized the tank. Now the question: Of all those hoses attached, what could be causing the problem? Boat is a 2001 model with light use in fresh water.

did you treat your lines and tanks for winter storage with a safe antifreeze, from what I've been told your hot water heater will hold water even when the tanks are dry. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I think they are built that way so the heating element won't burn out when the tanks are dry.

Pressure Relief Valve
Last year I discovered that when my hot water tank heated up when the engine was run a small quantity of water was expelled into the bilge through a defective pressure relief valve. I called the heater manufacturer and they sent me a new valve at no cost.
