Just curious-I have a Super cold machine and when I run the unit with the water pump on, should I expect the temperature of the cooling water to be warm or even noticeable? (Is it drawing any heat out?) I thought it would be, but I don't notice any difference at all from the ambient water temp. The boat's in Florida and the unit is not that well ventilated but it would make me feel like the thing was working if the exit water was a little bit or noticeably warmer.

Same here

When I first installed the water cooling option, I thought the same thing, but the water temp never felt any different..However, if you use a thermometer, you will notice a slight difference. Given the amount of water flowing through the system, that difference is significant.MC

The water temp will only show a rise from inlet temp to outlet temp when the ambient temp at the compressor is fairly high. With lower air temps at the compressor, the air cooling gets rid of the majority of heat from the condenser. By the time the refrigerant reaches the water condenser, it will be mostly liquid and there will be very little heat for the water to remove. Hence, the minute temperature differance. Only run the pump if the air temperature at the compressor is 95 degrees or higher.
