I just purchasd a used 1999 hunter 376 and find that in order to keep my ref. compressor running i have to have water circulating thru the system . People keep comming by and asking if I have a leak. What do you suggest. Thanks

Damar18, There are several types of refrigeration in sailboats 12 volt, 110 volt AC, and mechanical engine drive all of these could be water cooled. If there were a problem with water circulation cooling compressor would run a few minutes before refrigerant gets hot and stops it from running.

stick a plackard on the side of the boat over the cooling water outlet that says "Reefer cooling water outlet" or put a sign on the dock that lets folks know "water cooled reefer in operation"
Boaters are a kind and observant lot and this is exactly the kind of problem I'd like to have, too many folks keeping an eye on my boat so it does not sink!!!!!!
