Slip saves a trip...........

A slip saves many trips and mast raisings during the season.... just see what fits your budget... for me in Central Florida, the slip is the way to go ....Here,it is about $100.00 per month for slip rental....for a 23.5 Hunter.... I keep it in the slip , year around......Lake Harris , Florida.. Mission Inn Marina

Lake Harris

So, it sounds as if there are at least three of us on Lake Harris Florida!

Thanks to all that responded

I can see that these versatile boats are sailed in a wide variety of ways.

Step the mast every time

We live an hour's drive from our nearest lake. Being that far away, it is more convenient to keep the boat at home for security, cleanup, maintenance, loading and unloading gear, and general peace of mind. As a result, we have accepted the additional task of stepping the rig every time the "Girl" gets her bottom wet. The good side of that is we are not locked into any particular body of water. That's what trailer sailing is all about. Steve Kamp on the "Carolina Girl" (Hunter 260)

I love my slip.....

I love my slip and the lack of work.......To me it is just not worth the effort, risk of injury to person and boat, when you can drive to the lake and immediately sail with no hassle. However I do respect the numerous sailors who love to move from location to location, but not me......
