I bought a 1983 25' MacGregor at a local hospital auction, I did not recieve any paperwork with the boat ( I, up till now, have been an antique wooden power boat owner) I have read about a water balast but can not find how it works on this boat. Did this model have a water balast? Does anyone know where I could get an owners manual? thanks, Bernie

No water ballast on a 25 Bernie, you're now the proud owner of a 625# cast iron swing keel. On the left side of the linked page you will find links to manuals; then scroll down and check out what some other folks have done to customize their 25s. Very different animal from the 26s: interior layout, no laz, no water ballast, no rear bunk and the trailer bunks are inline instead of transverse. A goodly amount of chatter on this site won't make any sense to your boat but a lot will, so you must be a discriminating conumer of info. Welcome.
