I have recently bought my Monsun 31 and I'm going to do some work on her. I have a question. Does anybody know if and how is it possible to take away the water from the bottom of the fuel tank. Such water could have accumulated during the life of the boat and I didn't see any "drain hole" or something like that. Sorry for my english.

water and dirt at the bottom of the fueltank

Hallo, I bought recently a Monsun 31. In the booklet of the Monsun 31 I read, that the fuel is sucked by the enigine from about 5 cm above the fueltank- bottom; this is done obviously to avoid sucking up water and dirt from the bottom! If you use a small rigid tube with a little hand-pump you can pump up the eventual water and dirt particles by bringing the tube down to the bottom of the tank. This is done in the engine compartment where you will find the entry tube to the fueltank. I will carry out this handling one of these days myself. I wish you good luck! Wim Ruijter
