It's Right Here (And PS to Peggy...)
Look at the starboard side, just down from and slightly forward of the mid-ship cleat. It is the shrouded steel one, not the plastic one.The holding tank itself is under the panel next to the chart table. You have to remove the one in front of it to get that panel off. However, the tank connections are visible under the aft portion of the starboard setee. Yes, the tank is aluminum and it will need to be replaced. I will be ordering mine soon, probably a built-up plastic one in place of the aluminum replacement (which is heavier guage and better coated I'm told). I will put in a 1" vent then too.P.S. Also, Peggy, I built a back-flush device to back-flush the vent. It is the plunger portion of a small hand-held kitchen plunger which I opened up for water flow and attached a female hose connection. Works like a champ to free up obstructions without a mess. Yes, I know filling the tank to overflow is recommended and I do, but sometimes the stupid pump out hose is gone or the bib messed up, so I can do this at the dock. I'll post a pix sometime.PPS: You will be pleased to know that, after purchasing a new seat and cover on e-bay for a third of the factory cost, I now have only the bowl original on my aft Jabsco. I figure I have about $650 into it now. We have become quite attached. <smile>Rick D.
