Let's hope 3rd time is a charm as they say. My records show that the boat came with a Jabsco. I see some extra holes on the bulkhead. What I just replaced was a Whale. Now I have a Guzzler.
Even though clocking the handle takes a little bit more work, it doesn't have the single point of failure that the Whale does. The Whale clamp ring was broken right where the two ends are fastened together. hidden in the picture by the handle. The pump is used to discharge waste, but the same Whale pump is sold as a bilge pump. I wouldn't buy it for either purpose given the ring breaks and the pump fails. Could be bad if a bilge was taking on water.
I also replaced the little "duck bill" siphon break on the riser. The old one leaked.
I keep that distilled water jug in with the batteries to keep them topped off.
