Dimensions? Is it one of those all-in-one units? Gas, diesel, or electric? You could cut out the cabinetry in the aft cabin. Maybe give up the shower or the vanity. How about where the nav station is located? I don't think we have ever seen that question on the Cherubini forum.

How about a big bucket of soapy water lashed down on the foredeck, lidded, then go sail upwind in some strong winds and big seas. Afterwards, rinse by hose at the dock then hang the laundry up on the lifelines - of someone else's boat when they are away.

The only place that I can imagine that it would fit would be in the head area where the sink is. I do not know that the aft quarter berth would be deep enough.

Now with this said, how are you going to power the entire operation. They are not very efficient.

no i just cant, a rusty old leaking loud ass washer and dryer, Requireing 220 volts and lots of amps you cant get on a dock, OR walking up to a cute gal at the laundry and maybe get directions to a net pup while she does the duds. No contest.

They make a little washer you tow behind the boat. work great. no info.
if you wear less clothes it wont be nearly as big a problem

The washer/dryer I am looking at is an all in one. I would use shore power to use it until I retire in 3.5 yrs. Then I am thinking maybe a generator after that... Being once I retire clean clothes won't be so important. :) I am almost wondering if I could install it in the V-berth under the bed? But I would have to cut the front of the locker. But I am wondering if this would cause undue stress somewhere else?

I think putting the washer-dryer in the V-berth will cause undue stress on all the H37C owners if you tell us about it.

These unit cost about $900-$1000. Think about the local laundry. They will wash and fold your clothes, pressing if necessary. Thinking about adding the humidity to your boat, the modiification, cost of the unit and maintenance etc. I think there are better ways without screwing up a perfectly good vessel.

The laundrymat is about $1.00 - 1.50 per load plus drying cost.

And will you, with a clear conscience, put all the soapy water into the marina.

Thank you all for you input... Although laundry is 2.79 to wash it would prob. be better to just do it off the boat untill I retire, and better for the environment... Thank you.

If you mean to cut out the bulkhead at the forward edge of the step then yes, that is structural and would cause "undue stress".

These boats dont really have room for washers, There isnt enough good space to take what you really need anyway.

Regarding washing, really you could reasonably hand wash clothes and then air dry. No need for a machine.
