I spent the past 5 days aboard my C 27 and on a daily basis found myself moving my washer boards from one spot to another. Question. Where do you store your washer boards?
I have heard it suggested to put hook & loop strips on the top of each board on the interior surface. Then stick them, upright, to the face of the seats down in the cabin. Personally, I put mine in the aft lazerette. I don't know if you can do that with your configuration.
In the cabin, at the port setee (traditional layout) attach two plastic cable/wire loops w/ one ss screw each. Distance apart is about three inches longer than the top drop board is long. These bungie cord attachment points sould be about 2 1/2" above the deck floor level or the boards tend to slide underneath. good luck!
i built a rack from "starboard" (from which i made the boards themselves with louvres on inside/outside with mosquito netting sandwiched between) similar to the display racks for starboard in west marine. i screwed the base of the rack on the floor of the port cockpit locker.
