I have a 2004 456 Passage and interested in installing an anchor wash down pump and hose. I have a forward thru hull that was dedicated to my toilet before converting to fresh water. Any suggestions on pump and hose storage would be helpful.

Shop around for best pump and price and I did have one of those coils but they always leak and so cut a piece of hose maybe 2 or 3 feet and have found as my wife motors out of the anchorage I start hosing the mud off and yes a lot of mud here in Fl.
I love the anchor wash and even ran a hose outlet at the stern for keeping the stern clean.

I purchased a unit with hose from WM. I have the hose in my anchor locker and pump down below under my forward berth. As Seadaddler said the coil hoses leak after a yr or so. But I need the coil system so I just purchase a new hose when needed.
Yeah, my coiled hose developed a hole after the second washdown. For years I have used the bucket but once I started anchoring in really bad mud in 40+ feet of water and was heading to the south pacific where 70+ is common, I decided to add one for safety with me being a single handler. I can't be messing around with a bucket while I am drifting. Need to get it up fast and stored so I can get back to the helm.
On mine I tapped it into the AC thru-hull and ran a hose up into the above anchor locker. I think a key point in having one is to relieve the pressure once done with it.

When there is mud on the anchor, it stays just at water's surface as the admiral slowly motors forward until the mud is washed off. A brush w/ a long handle can be dipped in water and used to wash the chain as it comes up if it is muddy also. Finally, a bucket rinse takes care of anything else out there; a full fresh water rinse is done when back at the slip.
