Just to report back...I was able, with some help, to install my wash down pump earlier this week. We ended up mounting the unit under the pullman berth near the macerator pump. Since the holding tank discharge had been disconnected due to being on a inland lake, we used that thru hull. Also we were able to run the power all the way back to the electric panel and use a dedicated 20 amp breaker.

Congrats on a good installation Bowed! You will be glad you installed it. I have been thrilled with mine and how handy it is.

I bought the Johnston pump as it looked to be of good quality & came complete. Defender had a great price!!
Installed a dedicated through hull for it, as the unit went in last spring. I just don't like connecting into sinks or heads...prefer to have separate shut offs.
Wiring on its own breaker back at the panel. You must use #12 or greater wiring for the run

Used #12 with a 20A breaker switch and did not use the switch that came with the unit.
