This may be a small matter until one starts trying to price replacement cushions--I found out the hard way that those nice cushion covers that come on the Lear-Siegler 1985+ 28 and 33 are only single stitched; the jerking action of your home machine (except the newest Maytags with the swirling discs)will pull those babies right apart at each seam. After repairing the extensive damage from my first load I brought the rest to a laundromat where the large open-drum machines on gentle cycle did a perfect job.I also did a little investigating and could not find any indication that "Coast Cushion Company" in Rhode Island, the original manufacturer of the cushions, is still in business. Unless they exist under a new name elsewhere you won't be able to go back to them for replacements.
