Warranty Problems

I love my catalina 40 MK II however I have had a host of problems/warranty issues and can't get them fixed. I have been fighting to get all port ho;es and hatches replaced due to crazing for almost 1-1/2 years. They finally arrived UPS no one will install them. I have had 20+ problems with the boat and been getting a song and dance from the dealer. One of the problems was with the auto polit that turned the boat 360 degrees when it was not in use. The auto will vary from 0 to 35degrees from the compass heading, thats no fun is a fog. Thes problems are scary, the dealer said I was crazy and it couldn't happen, so I responded in an e-mail that he assumes all responsibility for and damages relating to the problem. He blew-up and sent back a scathing e-mail, how dare I ask for his help. I am to the point that I am going pay someone to fix all item and/or sue them to get the job done. I can't be the only owner to have these problem. I am well documented how do I let Frank Butler know what his dealers are doing/not doing??

Call Frank directly at the Woodland Hills factory. The phone number is 818-884-7700. Bear in mind that the hatches are made by Lewmar not Catalina and warranted Lewmar. The same would apply to the autopilot.

Frank Butler is a great gentleman. Even though

the items are not Catalina, one of his dealers installed them and he will make them fix your problems. Dick McKee S/V ONE9TEEN
