I too, am looking for somewhere warmer, to sail more than 3-4 months, depending on the weather, and that's only on the weekends.I leave my boat at the lake, but it's an hour away. I'm a single man, that has to work for another 3 yrs.I live right in the middle of Oregon. It's a sunny, blue sky day, with the high of the day being 34 degrees.I've thought of Pugent sound,by Seattle, but it's not a whole lot warmer,as most boats have heaters and it rains more there then here.I've thought of the Calif.delta and the coast from Santa Cruz to Santa Barbara and Oxnard.I've got an older 28 ft.motorhome.I don't know if theirs affordable places, close enough to the water, that I could sail after work and live in my motorhome,or sell it and rent an apartment.I need to be able to sail more often,to get better at it.I've only been sailing 2yrs. and really enjoy it.I feel like I'm draging my feet trying to figure out which way to go.I'm willing to quit my job and find another somewhere else,as long as I'll be able to sail more often.I'm looking forward to some replys. Thanks JIM PS. Is a 22' Catalina big enough for some coastal sailing, as thats what I have?
