wanted: maxwell winch rebuild info

tried to get the manuals for my winches from the maxwell site but that link no longer works. i bet my winches have never been serviced. i would like to disassemble and rebuild then, (a peculier perversion of mine), before next season. even a generic set of instructions would be helpful...

I have a 1986 Hunter 25.5 and have two types of Maxwell winches on mine. I may have what you are looking for.

Maxwell 14 winches

all 3 are the same. my e mail is: williamrd@attglobal.net. even if the instructions/manual are not the exact same model i bet most all maxwell single speed winches are pretty similer.

Under the more fun tab there is a library and in there are some drawings. Talk to the folks who make the Maxwell windlass, last time I spoke with them they still had some rebuild parts. The link will put you in touch with the folks downunder they are the ones that set me up with the US contact.

dave bushby has offered to copy his manuals for me and i e mailed maxwell au and asked them if they could steer me in some direction too. i'll look into that reference library too and see what i find....
