The MKIII is a great boat. A well kept secret is the MKII.5. I found mine when I was looking for a MKIII. The MKII.5, has the hardware of the MKIII and the walkthrough transom. The difference is that they put the walk-thru in the hull of the MKII. Mine was the only one on the east coast when I found her. But, if one is on the market in your area, it might be worth a look for you. If the boat was made before the middle of 1993, or does not have stainless grab rails, it is not a MKII.5.
