Poptop Covers

I'm sure there are people who would be interested in poptop covers, for the M22, M25, and M26C. It would be nice to have a cover that would allow you to keep the poptop up in the rain.

Full Boat Cover for Storage

My idea not for a poptop but a full 26ft cover to use during storage when the boat is out of the water.

Yes, I am interested. How much? What materials? What kind of thread? Any warranty? How will the cover fit over boats that have been modified? Do you have any references? Any photos of past projects?

Tarpaulin

I currently use a 12' X 28' tarpaulin but it tends to pool water and snow in a couple places. A custom winter cover that fits a 26M without pooling would be nice.

I want to know more

I have to park the boat under a pine tree in the winter, this would be great.

cover

I would be interested, I had one on my Oday 20 and I loved it. It was made to use with the mast up or down. Don

Me Too

I am currently using a 15' x 30' tarp. This is my 5th winter of this type of storage and I have gone through 4 tarps. Lost a brand new one early this winter when we where hit with 100mph plus winds. Any cover that I purchase would have to be pretty beefy. The lack of pooling is also important to me. I use pvc pipe bent over the mast and tied to the lifelines and stachions for support. Prior to this winter, I have always had to knock snow and pooling water off of the tarp, especially near the bow. This year I raised the front of the mast up about a foot above the normal attachment at bow rail (used a wooden human type crutch for a mast crutch). The mast is now horizontal to the deck, and has pretty much eliminated the pooling problem.

I have come to the conclusion that for cost effectiveness, a fitted cover made from blue plastic tarps is hard to beat. I sew two tarps end to end and then sew the bow section to fit. My mast rides high on a custom support that allows the pop top to fully extend so the tarp bridges over the mast for a nice cover good for at least one season. This is only for a storage cover. I use acrylic material for any other covers. I figure that by buying my tarps onsale, I have about $10 plus sewing on a cover that is basically disposable. Bungies cost about another $5 at HB so it is hard to justify the expense for a full cover made from Sunbrella for parking alondside my house.
