Does anyone have an opinion on the Walkerbay Dinghy as a tender for a H26? I am thinking of buying one. How do they row, tow and fit on the front deck? Thanks Pat

Just bought one

I bought a Walkerbay with the siling kit this spring. My plan is to use a V-shaped bridle off of the stren cleats for towing. To keep the boat from crashing into the transom, I plan on running the bridle lines through a pair of kids foam swimming pool noodles. I read this in one of the magazines. Eventually, I want to install some wichard snap davits with standoffs. Until then I will tow, bringit home on the roof rack or try deck carrying it. Mike Pajewski H26 "Loon"

Got one for H25.5

Pat: I got one last year for my 25.5 and have been very pleased. Pros: excellent rower, tough, fits inverted on the foredeck of my boat. Great for rough or cobbly beaches where you would otherwise damage your gelcoat with a fiberglass boat. Tows extremely well. Just got a used Honda 2hp for the crusing season. My daughter will use it for sailing camp this summer. Cons: can never have the stability or carrying capacity of a like size quality inflatable. Can only carry two adults or one adult and a couple of kids at a time. But you can't row or sail an inflatable worth beans. I see more and more of these around the dock for good reason. I recommend the 6 and a half foot two piece oars by Caviness if you decide to buy one. They are nice to break down and store in the lazarette. Really hard to go wrong with this little boat. Good Luck!
