I have a c27 w/ wheel steering. I'm looking for a good windvane system for this 1989 tall rig. The one's I've seen so far (scanmar and windpilot) seem a little klunky in the wheel mode for this model boat. Has any one used the "very short" emergency tiller (wheel off, it's only about 17 1/2" long) for the tiller hookup on the windvane self/str system? Any experence here?
