Recent aquisition of a Vega.Last 20 yrs in fresh water. Am
interested and would appreciate any info on zinc that addresses the
cooling

Hi everyone,

Was wondering if any one might be able to fill me in a bit on the
dependability of this rapidly aging engine. Any advice on servicing,
things to look out for, upgrades, etc... (we are talking vintage circa
1973 or so). Is this enough power for the Vega (10hp)? Also, are there
shop manuals available for this model?

Manual is available as a download on the Yahoo Group I think.

If they work they are great but spares are an arm and two legs.....

Jan,
Thanks for the excellent link. I found a complete Yanmar manual (60
megs worth) that covers my engine, and many other Yanmar models. I
haven't looked at other makes, but the list is impressive!
