I own a 2006 model 423, delivered in Oct. 2005 with the Volvo D2 55C engine and factory installed transmission.
The engine has 900 hours.
Although shifting the engine into gear has always concerned me as it was associated with some clunking noises, however several technicians have confirmed that it was ok.
Obviously not, as last weekend the noises were much more severe and even when I shut the engine down the clunk is very noticable.
I found out that the bell bolts on the Volvo were involved in a call back, of which I was not informed and it may be that there were some alignment problems with the fly wheel on the engine.
Has anybody else experienced similar problems?
I would like to hear from you.
