Can anyone tell me what is a reasonable cost of of fixing a thumbprint size void. I have 15 voids on my 1997 376. My initial reaction is that the quote I have sounds expensive. The yard is estimating the quote based on 2 hours per void to fix. Tony Wilcox

injectecting epoxy and refinshing the repair areas would take a bit of time considering setup, walking back and forth from shop to workspace in yard, material cure time etc... and the yard would be doing it all at once not a void at a time so 30 hrs broke down to 8 hour workdays does seem a bit much, maybe 2 days labour and the rest is materials?

Void Warranty

I would check with the manufacturer if you have voids that pronounced. THis is a manufacturing defect which they should stand by.

If company won't pay, consider doing it yourself

I do not really know exactly how this is done, but I understand that injection of catalyzed resin is done. Does not sound that difficult. Depends upon the circumstances. I now try to do everything myself. Thanks Jim Willis

Gelcoating non-skid with roller

Is it practicle to recover the non skid areas. I have a H-34 and would like to only do the non-skid with gelcoat or would I be better painting. Do you have a documented procedure on how to accomplish if using the gelcoat solution.
