Hello I have finally got my C-30 going. Does anyone know of a VMG Chart or polar chart for a Standard rig 1977 vintage C-30. I have used them on J-24, ID35, and now would like to have one for the C-30. This helps me know my predicted speed so I can learn to sail the C-30 well. P.S. They have a yellowd copy of a chart for the Tall rig. I wouldn't think the numbers would be interchangable. I could be wrong. Does anyone of the same manual for a std rig?

Marina Village
Ryan, No worries; my weekend (6/12/04) is looking full, but hopefully, Carrie and I can make a zodiac ride over to Laura Lye(sp) soon for some smiles and introductions. Glad to hear that you've gotten your C30 going again. ~ Can you hear my envy?... Odysseus (my vintage 78/79 C30) is scheduled for pullout 6/21/04. She NEEDS the "full-under-belly-treatment": sanding, paint, new shaft, cutlass, strut (at least a good retightening) and box re-stuffing. Hopefully, after ALL of that there will be more focus on sailing/playtime and less on mandatory maintenance. ~ I haven't forgotten about the v-birth and cockpit cushions; I just NEED to get these other issues in hand first. I don't have polars for my C 27, but I have found the vmg feature on my garmin gps to help determine optimum track and when to turn. Having the charts would defininetly help with predicting performance. By the way, I'm on J dock at marina village. Last year a few of us got together for some informal racing on Sundays. I haven't heard much about resuming them this summer. You guys heard anything? Since the live aboards got kicked out Jan 1, the place is awfully quiet during the week.
