I switched to Ultima SR (a soft ablative)a few years ago because I was tired of the pain of hard sanding each spring. My knees and back couldn't take it anymore. I am pleased with the anti-fouling properties of the paint, but the performance of the boat seems to have dropped off quite a bit. I am thinking of switching to Vivid, which is touted as a hard ablative designed for racing sailboats. Has anyone used Vivid in club racing? How would you rate the performance? Is it fast or is it just advertising hype? Let me know. Thanks.
