Vision is an unstayed mast!

The Legend was a traditional rig shrouds, stays, etc. The Vision was made in a 32' and 36' version. They have a forestay for a small jib but no backstay or shrouds. The Vision is similar in concept to the Nonsuch and Freedom. Excellent down wind sailors, don't point as well as the Legend. Very spacious interior (I prefer the V'36). Easy boats to sail single handed too. Read the owners reviews on these boats and I think you will find favorable reviews. The Legends are also very nice boats. These owners will also rave about their boats. I think you will be happy with either choice. If you are thinking about keeping the boat for just a couple of years and dumping it, I'd go for the Legend. I think that the traditional rig will be easier to sell in a pinch.

Legend Charter !!!

I wouldn't do it again!!! The 36 is a "tub" and I'd lots rather sail a 35.5, or a 37.5 Legend any day of the week!!!

Legend

Steve is close in his evaluation of their sailing abilities. Up here we have a race called the Swift Sure and a Legend has won and placed several times in their class. I also looked at both boats and saw the resale on the Legend alot better. I also saw a Vision that had done some south Pacific time, so the boat can handle it.
