I'm looking into a few Hunter sailboats locally. We plan to visit a 1999 310 ($45K) that looks REALLY nice, and 2 Legend 35.5's, a '93 and a '95 ($48K and $59K respectively). When I asked my broker about a Vision 32 he advised me that they don't point upwind at all, like not even 45 deg. more like 50 - 55, doees anyone here have experience with these boats? I've searched till my eyes ached and can't seem to find specifics. Anyway, FWIW we're looking for a newer (1993+) low to mid 30's boat shoal draft (We're in the upper Chessie), open transom in good condition that we can sell in 5 or 10 years and still have something that will be marketable, being this Vision 20 is only around $25K we could use it and resell at a real low price and move on when/if we go for a bluewater cruiser or...C-A-T-A-M-R-A-N.

I don't have a HV32, but I do have a HV36 and it does just fine. These boats are amazing in heavy air when running on on a broad reach. Ours outruns most of the other boats in our harbor in light air with the hugh mainsail.

You should get a response from Rick Dinon on this and he will set you straight on the sailing attributes of this boat.
