I have just finished sanding the hull of my boat several times 800,2000,2500 wet. Now, I am (I think) ready for the vinyl lettering to go on. Question . Should I use the cleaner that comes with the poli-glo kit? Or should I skip the cleaner and just let the guy use his cleaner and apply the lettering, then poli-glo wax over the finished product and not bother using the cleaning agent at all? Or, use the cleaning agent and still have the letter guy use his cleaning also? Then wax. Thanks as always, Keep it up, Ctskip

Cleaning Agent

Coming from someone who owns a vinyl shop, let him do his prep. This way he'll know the correct preperation has been done for the vinyl he'll be using. After your new lettering is on, then apply your Poli-Glow.

Sanded your hull?

That sounds like VERY fine sandpaper, but I wonder why you did that? Are you applying Poly Glow for the first time? How old is your boat? Is there still wax on the hull? If you are talking about only where old lettering used to be, I would clean also with Poly Prep, then let the installer of the new lettering do his own thing. I would then apply Poly Glow over the lettering after it is installed.

Thank you all

I have decided to clean with the poliglow system. Not much scrubbing required. I'll do the cleaning agent then apply the strips and name, then finish over it all. That should make me happy for a couple of years anyway. Thanks for your responses. Keep it up, Ctskip
