The only thing I changed was the size of the bank. The default is 200 and I changed it to 400. I did a manual setting for SOC and it quickly went to zero because of the large draw. Everything was turned off so there should have only been a draw of .2 amps. I always had this on the old Blue Seas amp meter. After this didn't work I reset to the factory settings and is still showed - 850 fluctuating. The screen is one of the ones that you scroll through that shows the voltage. I can't give the letter on the left side as I don't remember and the manual is on the boat. The voltage shows as correct and was 13.06 after charging.
My guess is you were on the TTG screen or minutes until empty at the current load.. "I" is the current screen.. TTG means Time To Go, in minutes, at the current amp draw...

Gosh

My Manual is On the Boat is the LAMEST excuse I've ever heard.

I just bought a piece of gear on the internet and had the manual, in PDF form, on my computer in five seconds. This was for a 1998 unit.

C'mon.

I feel your pain about something not working, but start from scratch and RTFM (maybe a few times).

And.....give it a day or so, it'll come to you.

I usually take that long, and then say: "Oh, NOW I got it!"

Oh, those lightbulb moments! :):):)

The screen I was looking at was the "I" screen.

Stu:
I have started from scratch several times with the same result.

If the shunt is wired in correctly and you've been through all the set up -850A is a large error. Is the shunt wired so the BATT side goes to the BATTERY and the LOAD side to the loads?

I've sold over 60 of these and installed a ton more and have only had one bad red wire and a UTP cable that had a broken plug.. They usually work very well...
