Victron BMV 600 Alarm

I just installed my Victron and it is works good.

My question is, do I have to attach an alarm or is one built into the unit?

I haven't actually tested it but the manual seems to indicate that there is an internal buzzer used with the various alarms. Such as state of charge that drops below a preset level.

"A BUZ:
When set, the buzzer will sound on an alarm. After a button is
pressed the buzzer will stop sounding. When not enable the buzzer
will not sound on an alarm condition."​

You don't need to do anything with the alarm if you don't want to. Every setting is fully programmable and there is a relay inside the unit that can be used for keying another external device, relay etc...

The manual for programming is a tough read but it's a must do otherwise you'll never get it to work properly..
