I haven't actually tested it but the manual seems to indicate that there is an internal buzzer used with the various alarms. Such as state of charge that drops below a preset level.
"A BUZ:
When set, the buzzer will sound on an alarm. After a button is
pressed the buzzer will stop sounding. When not enable the buzzer
will not sound on an alarm condition."
You don't need to do anything with the alarm if you don't want to. Every setting is fully programmable and there is a relay inside the unit that can be used for keying another external device, relay etc...
The manual for programming is a tough read but it's a must do otherwise you'll never get it to work properly..
