Vibrations driving me nuts

When I am motoring, the panel (or whatever its called) in the back by the transom where the traveller is on my Cat 27 1975 vibrates like crazy. I suspect this has happened to others, what have you done to cut down on the noise?

Have you aligned the engine

and the shaft?

My bad, the motor is an outboard Merc 9.9 on a power bracket to raise and lower it.
