Many years ago I applied Vertglas to my 28.5 and am now faced with a situation where some of it has worn off and some of it still refuses to budge. I have wet sanded with 400 & 600 grit paper, until my arms are about to fall off, but I can not get a "clean" sufrace. Does anyone have any good ideas? Anything from the wonderful world of Chemistry?

There is a remover

There is a remover which came in the box with the compound, the wash and the Vertglas. It is Step 4. Contact the suppliers, Marine Products dot com. Edited to add, see next post.

don't waste your money on the remover!!!!!!!!!!

I too put it on my boat several years ago. straight ammonia in a spray bottle will remove it. spray the ammonia on let sit a few minutes and just scrub off with soft kitchen scrub pads. btw any kitchen acrilic floor wax will work just as well as the vertglass at a fraction of the cost. i've been using it for probably 15 yrs and its just as good and only costs 2 or 3 bucks /bottle vs i don't have a clue what this marine miracle is now. i typically get about two years out of an application before it starts to turn milky. then with 2 bucks worth of ammonia, i start over and do it again with 2 bucks worth of acrilyc floor wax. P.S don't tell j&j or they will start bottling it and sell it as a marine miracle and bump the price. S/V Que Pasa?
