Time to let this one go

Yes, while some interesting points were voiced in this thread I do believe it's time to move on. Gee, I don't think we've had a thread quite like this since Bohart left... :)

Please don't go -- don't goooo away ...

That's the point I was thinking about too, Phil. Bohart was a Hunter guy who devoted his own time to answer questions on the board. He was a tremendous and unique asset, who I greatly miss for his valuable knowledge and insights. Among other things, it seemed he got discouraged because everytime he didn't answer a question in quite the proper manner he would get pounded. Peggy is another such valuable resource. She has spend an incredible amount of her time on this Board and the CWBB (maybe others) offering invaluable advise on all kinds of things. It seemed to me she was railing more in general about one of her pet peeves rather than intending to attack someone individually -- communicating by text leads to easy misunderstandings sometimes (reminds me of a couple "long distance" relationships I had). Furthermore, in following this board for a couple years, it is just not Peggy's style to attack people in a mean-spirited way. He posts were understandably taken defensively, everyone has aired their views, hopefully the miscommunication has been cleared. But I for one want to express my appreciation to Peggy for the valuable information she has provided in the hope that she will not also get discouraged and bolt.

Just one more thing.

This has happened to me before too. You make a comment via a post or e-mail and it looses something. When you speak to someone face to face there are expressions and inflections in our voice that lets someone know how the statement was intended. Everyone should take this into account when they read something (and don't belive everything you read). Be sure to take into account who this is comming from. If you have been here for any length of time, we generally know what to expect from different members. This whole thing with boating is a continous learning process. We can all learn from this experience too. Wow, this is just like real life, huh!

I have personally grown ...

You are so right Steve. In fact, I feel like I have grown as a man and a person from this whole experience. I feel like I have a better understanding of my fellow humans and HOW members .... yes, even the "seaworthier than thou" Cherubini owners. In fact, I feel like giving you a BIG HUG (after you have doused yourself with Peggy's C.P., that is).
