vent and pump out deck locations for head on ODay 25

my newly purchased 1977 25 has a Wilcox-Crittendan HeadMate installed using a Jabsco mini holding tank (6 gals, I think) placed under the vberth along with a fresh water tank but (here's the good part...) the air vent connects to a 22' long hose to a thru hull fitting on the transom (too long to be of any aeration value) and the pump out hose isn't connected to anything....apparently the previous owner would pump out by bringing the pump out station hose into the boat thru the foreward hatch for cleaning.

My question is .....does anybody have any good ideas for placement of a thru deck for the pump out and a thru hull for the air vent considering the limited space on a 25? Any good ideas on where to run the hoses so that they are out of the way?

If it was me, I'd remove it and buy a Porta-Potti. My wife and I used to spend a week cruising Martha's Vineyard and the Elizabeth Islands back in the early 1990s, and the portable head served us well. I can only remember having to empty the holding tank once while we were in Vineyard Haven. I put it in a large shopping bag and brought it to the local rest room and dumped it in the "John.'' If they had a pump out facility close by I would have dumped it there, but I didn't see one at the time. Outside of that, if you want to run a hose to the deck for the pump out and vent, you would want to have a straight run to the holding tank, which means relocating the tank so that the hose is going to be hidden by something in the cabin. Check out Don Casey's book "This Old Boat" for more info on this. I can see running a water hose into the forward hatch to fill up the water tank. I do this all the time at the club dock, but I definitely wouldn't have some pump out guy run the waste hose through that hatch in the V birth. That's gross, icky poo!

Consider both out thru locker behind head. Hoses can be run out of sight under floor of V-berth to locker area.

Vent hose might be able to be run to anchor locker if your boat has one?

However, vent run anywhere forward might have attention getting quality downwind?
