I threatened to sell my boat once before but circumstances changed
and I was able to hold on. Now I must sell. Katia is a Mexico
veteran, having been trucked to San Diego in 1998, Sailed to Puerto
Vallarta in the Baja HaHa (she has a 2nd place ribbon hanging in the
cabin!), moored in Puerto Vallarta for 4 years, where I bought her
and sailed her back to San Diego and trucked her again from San Diego
to Seattle. Other than that she has spent her entire life in Puget
Sound and British Columnbia waters. For the trip in 1998 she
received a complete refit and a great deal of equipment for cruising,
especially the following: Radar, wind vane and autopilot (both) self
steering, water maker, 3 anchors and rodes, 2 solar panels, weather
cloths for the cockpit, new sail cover and dodger, cruising
spinnaker, new standing rigging, new upholstery and curtains,
extensive supply of parts and tools, lines etc. Since I've had her
I've bought her a new set of heavy duty cruising sails (very
successful) and a Cozy Cabin heater. Her original Volvo diesel
and "combi" transmission are splendid, give about 3 hours per gallon
at 5.5 knots. If I were leaving for Tahiti I'd want a few weeks to
get her ready, but for sailing closer to home she's ready to go and
extremely well equipped. Currently lying Bainbridge Island
Washington. Please contact me off-list or call 206 842 7904.
