We are offering our Vega "Procrastinator" (1966 #38) for sale as we have bought a larger boat (Morgan 383) and are planning to move aboard this spring. We hate to give up the Vega, but we really need the space.
"Procrastinator" was extensively reconditioned and upgraded over the last two years and was only in the water last year after 4-5 years on the hard. Virtually all systems were rebuilt or replaced with the exception of the 8HP Yanmar diesel which runs great. A short list of new or rebuilt system/equipment: running & standing rigging, new main & jib, (good 150% genoa, 170% drifter, and 3/4 oz spinnaker), instrumentation-Horizon knot, log, depth, Loran, diesel cabin heater, lots of woodwork refinished, electrical panels/charging/inverter, plexiglass ports, gel bats, autopilot, anchor system, custom anchor roller/bowsprit, double single line reefing-all lines lead aft, Treadmaster M non-skid, dodger, bottom paint, new head and holding tank, LPU hull and deck paint, (2) 20 x 20 main hatches, teak cockpit locker seats, genoa tracks, shore power, galvanized tandem trailer w/ surge brakes, 2001 NAMS survey that stated "..was found to be sound and attractively refubished." We are asking $12,500. This boat is very well equipped and is ready to go cruising.
